Itinerary
- DAY 1 – ARRIVE TOKYO:
Arrive in Tokyo, the capital of Japan where you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. - DAY 2 – YUDANAKA ONSEN:
Travel to Nagano and explore the historic Zenkoji Temple, founded 1,400 years ago the temple is home to what many believe to be the first Buddhist statue to be brought to Japan. This afternoon, continue to Yudanaka Onsen and admire the stunning mountain scenery before checking into a traditional Japanese Inn for your overnight stay. - DAY 3 – YUDANAKA ONSEN:
Begin you full day tour of Yudanaka Onsen with a visit to Jigokudani Yaen Koen to meet the famous Japanese Macaques, also known as Snow Monkeys. Accustomed to humans, the monkeys almost completely ignore their human guests and can therefore be observed from very close. This afternoon explore the quaint old town of Obuse and admire the works of the famous Japanese wood block print artist, Hokusai. - DAY 4 – RETURN TO TOKYO:
This morning transfer by road to Nagano station and board your bullet train to Tokyo.
