Itinerary
Day 1 – Basel
BASEL – EMBARKATION. Settle into your City Escapes river cruise in Basel. You’ll appreciate the easy start, familiar comforts on board and flexible choices ashore that set the tone for longer port stays.
Day 2 – Breisach
BREISACH, GERMANY. Spend the day around Breisach with options that fit your style. Head to Colmar for colorful streets and the Bartholdi Museum, visit the charming town of Staufen im Breisgau in the foothills of the Black Forest for a tour and wine tasting, or choose an active visit to Château du Haut‑Koenigsbourg with hilltop views.
Day 3 – Strasbourg
STRASBOURG, FRANCE. Follow your curiosity through Strasbourg today. Wander half‑timbered towns on guided walking tour or take in the city from the gentle rhythm of your bike. Later, an onshore dinner invites you to savor regional dishes in a setting full of local character.
Day 4 – Ludwigshafen
LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY – MAINZ. Arrive in Ludwigshafen and set out for nearby highlights. Choose Heidelberg for a tour of its imposing castle and a wine tasting, or visit Speyer’s Technik Museum, dedicated to transportation technologies throughout the decades.
