Itinerary

Day 1 – Nice (French Riviera), France

Your tour commences in the stunning city of Nice, a coastal pearl of the Mediterranean known for its legendary opulence and balmy beaches. Spend the day as you wish, exploring the city independently. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in Vieux Nice featuring Mediterranean-inspired French cuisine.

Day 2 – Nice

Start your day immersed in French art with a visit to the Matisse Museum, housed in a 17th-century Genoese villa surrounded by olive groves. This museum offers an extraordinary journey through the life and work of Henri Matisse, one of the 20th century’s most influential artists. Later, discover Nice by meandering through the city’s famed and colorful flower market. Delve into the Old Town, sampling local delicacies while on a tasting tour. The rest of the day is yours. Perhaps you’ll return to your hotel and stroll along the lively seafront Promenade des Anglais — maybe you’ll find your favorite café for the week and soak in the local life.

Day 3 – Nice – Monaco – Monte Carlo – Nice

Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour led by your expert Tour Manager through the charming streets of Monaco-Ville, the old town, lined with pastel-colored houses, quaint cafés, and boutiques. Learn about Monaco’s rich history and royal traditions as you make your way to the Prince’s Palace, the official residence of the Sovereign Prince. Next, make your way to Monte Carlo for a quick stop to soak in breathtaking views and admire the iconic, world-famous casino.

Day 4 – Nice – Éze – Menton – Nice

Begin your morning in the medieval village of Èze, a quintessential Provençal hilltop town. Immerse yourself in the art of perfume-making with a hands-on workshop, where exquisite fragrances have been crafted since the 18th century. Then, wander the village’s timeless cobblestone streets and visit the stunning Exotic Garden of Èze, perched high above the sea with extraordinary panoramic views. Continue your journey to Menton, a charming town celebrated for its pastel-hued façades and serene ambiance. Famous for its citrus groves and artisanal jams, Menton beautifully blends French and Italian influences.

Day 5 – Nice – Cannes – Ile Saint-Honorat – Nice

Journey to Cannes and sail across the Bay of Cannes to the tiny island of Saint-Honorat, belonging to the monks of Lérins Abbey. Pause to taste the locally produced wine before returning to Cannes to perhaps rub elbows with Europe’s elite. Day 6 – Nice – Free Day or Optional Excursion to Italy

Day 7 – Nice – St. Paul de Vence – Nice

This morning, venture to historic St. Paul de Vence, situated atop a hill overlooking the beautiful countryside of Provence. Explore this walled medieval village, soaking in its distinctive light, said to have inspired Matisse, Braque, Chagall, and other artists.
